yet another vbulletin install question

I did a search on the forums for this and it seems as though there is no definitive answer on this. I got dolphin 6.1.6 and it does have something in the forum folder for vbulletin. I just want to know if it's possible to integrate FULLY with dolphin haveing existing members before I run out and buy vbulletin.

Not going to happen. We spent a lot of time on this, comparing the data tables and code but came to the conclusion it would take a hell of a lot of work.

I've seen a few sites with PHPBB but it's always been a tacky intergration, nothing professional.

If I was running a dating service I would have it made! lol The script I used to run had all this built in already. But that same script is terrible as far as a standard social community goes. I'm going back and taking another look at the script I used to run and emailing the auther of the script to see if he can add blog tags and remove the search box. If it isn't to much out of my range I'm going back to that other script.

I guess every script out there has its draw backs ...

O.K., a compromise. Can I atleast have it where the login/registration is the same between dolphin and vbulletin and nothing more? I don't have a lot of members so I could probably manually add them to the data base some how. I don't care if the forum is inside the dolphin frame, I'll just create an couple of extra tabs in the forum itself. So is it possible going this route?

You might have better luck integrating IPB.  There's an integration for IPB 2.3 on expertzzz.com.  It's far from finished, and it probably never will be, but it basically works.

There is NO vBulletin integration, and probably never will be.  I'm at the point now, where I'm ready to pay someone some big bucks for a D7-IPB 3.0 integration, so I can tell you with 100% certainty, there will at least be an IPB/D7 integration.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

PHPBB3 is a decent forum, but the lack of a wysiwyg editor is a show stopper for me.  No one I know wants to look at a bunch of ugly BB code when composing a message.

maybe in the near future we can develop the IPB seemless integration with dolphin, but right now there is no fat wallet individual that is crazy enough to have this LOL!
