It is a bit plain. I just make the player tiny and fill the sound listen page up with content.

I have this module, http://www.boonex.com/m/SOUNDS_play_lists which is cool because of the "Playlist" like on myspace, which allows the current site members to add another members sound to thier "Playlist" without uploading. [edit] this saves some disk space

It is also very plain to look at :(

It is also hard to install, you have to remove several core installed modules causing data loss.

The only thing its good for is for a fresh install. NOT on a site that has been going. You will loose all current music.

Soundcloud, that will never happen.

I haven't seen any jwplayer integrations for videos that actually work, without screwing up something else.  The same thing goes for the sounds

You can put a player on each of the sound thumbs, without much of a problem, as shown HERE.  The first thumb player doesn't load for some reason, so I have a bug somewhere.  You should be able to do the same thing with videos.  I haven't had the time to work on it yet, but I'm going to have a sound player, AND video player pop up when hovering over the respective thumbs.... instead of having it embedded with the thumbs.

That's the trouble.  The Boonex version is a player/recorder.  Jwplayer, is just a player.  To get someone else's video player to work right, and not screw anything else up, would require a redo of the flash apps, and it's enough of a nightmare just skinning the things.
