my webhost say they allow max of 25 connections,

It means that only 25 computers allowed to access your site database at the same time, so basically only 25 people can open your site at the same time.

Search spiders will use that many.

25 concurrent connections means... 25 user connections hitting the database all at exactly the same time, this means you could have upto 100 to 150 active users online and some times more.

How can i put this... imagine a big bottomless bucket of smarties and you have 100 people stood around it, they're all not going to reach in at once and grab some smarties, it will be quick and random....and the amount of smarties per user per grab dosent affect the max amount of people that can reach in and get some all at the same time.

However it is best practice to prepare yourself to either upgrade your current hosting plan to vps, or change to a more suitable host.

maybe enquire with http://www.hostv.com/ or http://mediatemple.net/

Smile
