Posting urls in chat does not always work

My members and myself have problems posting urls in the chat. Posting urls is enabled but sometimes it doesn't show the link, just a blank line. It's very annoying. If you post a link without http:// it is just plain text. Not clickable.

I think even yahoo and skype does not make a string clickable unless there is a http://
