Community Chat - Flashcoms Help!!!!

I doubt anyone can help me... but I recently just bough flashcoms chat.. while the product is great, their customer service is absolutely horrible!  So anyway I clearly stated that I need the dolphin 7.x integration along with the chat...  Well guess what, I got just the chat.  I sent another support ticket in to get the integration scripts I need and still no word.  So i'm wondering if anyone happens to have the integration scripts handy?  I could probably figure out how to get the username and passwords to work, but I bought this chat for the simple fact that it can be 100% integrated.  So if anyone has it, or any info where i can get it please let me know... Thanks.

Kappity, I agree with your opinion of Flashcoms customer support. After several months of frustration, I have finally got my Community Chat integrated into my website. My website isn't live yet, as I'm still working on the rest of the configurations. I'd be glad to try and help you. Visit my site http://vchatsite.com and register and I will assist you in troubleshooting. Beforehand, verify these settings:

1) Flash Media Server is running and accepting connections. Flashcoms works pretty well right out of the box. If you install the chat7 folder in your web root, before installing Dolphin, you should be working ok. Make sure the FMS folder is installed on your media server.
2) Did you get the Dolphin modules from Flashcoms?
3) After installing Dolphin, are you able to install the Flashcoms Chat module from the Admin Panel? This is a big step in getting the integration working. You should install the flashcoms directory in the <web root>/modules directory. If you don't see Flashcoms Chat as an uninstalled module, you didn't install to the correct directory.
4) Can you access the 'Open Admin Panel' button from the Modules Section of the Admin Panel?

Good luck. I don't know if it's required or not, but I wasn't able to get the application to work until I bought a permanent license for my site.

this has got to be a joke, they give you docs on installing the chat itself on your server, which i have done without issue, but the module for boonex wont install and there are no docs for it, when i contacted them all they could say was they would install it for me for 150 dollars!!

Perhaps try uploading the module outside of the /boonex/ directory.  If I had to guess, you're putting a vendor directory under another vendor directory.

nathan thanks,, i got the module itself to install,, now when i click "open admin panel" i get "connection failed" .. there support freaking sucks

how i was able to get it installed was like this,, the boonex modules install section in the boonex admin panel would only see the module if the "flashcoms_chat" folder was in the BOONEX folder in  /modules/boonex

but when i would see it and try to install it in admin panel it would give me path errors,, i seen the guy that got it to work make the same suggestion as you  as in the /module/ folder itself,, so what i did was put the WHOLE flashcom/flashcom/flashcoms_chat/ folders from there "boonex folder in the /modules/ folder on my server and i had a copy of the /flashcoms_chat/ folder in my /modules/boonex folder just so my admin panel would see it, and that finally worked

NOW I JUST HAVE TO FIX THIS "CONNECTION ERROR"!!

It's not that it "wont" work, and it is not that it is not the best chat out there for Boonex once you get it TO WORK.

You do not even want to hear my last hassle with them on this last purchase, decided I needed "unlimited".. and while I was at it i figured id do a fresh domain name change that I had been putting off do to them compiling the domain name into the purchase.. me and newton and pranshank ended up not sleeping for the first 2 freaking weeks just trying to get the dang chat to work the way it is suppose to right out of the box.. and I wont even get into how many times they left me for entire weekends with no working cams on my site cause they do no offer support on weekends and if you are with their media hosting or need something compiled in your install to do with your own media server then you just have to wait till someone gets in on monday.

not saying the chat is not awesome,, just get ready and have coffee and free time ready if you order it,, oh and patience, you will need LOADS of patience!

and as to why would boonex "recommend" them??.. just 6 months ago every hosting question be it ded, shared, vps, or even rms was answered with "terabyte,, cant do any better!" .. and we all see how that one turned out.

I could tell you how Flascoms chat and the lack of support killed a site I started in 1997 with 500,000 members when it took a nosedive due to constant chat problems.  However it was not a Dolphin site so I won't bore you all with the tale.  It does bother me how much Dolphins chat and messenger look like Flashcoms....

Oh, and hi all.  My 1st post.  Sorry to be so negative.
