Chat not working

Hi all,

I have installed v7 rc2 and ive been testing over last couple of days. My chat wont work and just sits there with the loading message and nothing else happens. Any ideas?

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling again from the admin panel and still nothing.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

i just had that problem go into the module /settings of the a/v chat and reinput the info

found all mine were gone....

I checked the settings and they are all there as before and it still sits on the loading message.

hmmm. unless it has somethin ta do with the RMS someone told me

you can't use the RMS u used fer 6.1.6, not sure if thats true or not

Hi Doug,

Found out the reason why it isnt working and your response was what gave me the clue.

I didnt realise you had to have rms installed. Im on a shared server. I have just signed up with another hosting company so i can get the rms installed and working. I cant believe boonex have done v7 this way as it will force a lot of people to either stay on v6 or change hosting companies.

Who the hell can use dolphin without the likes of chat etc? Makes no sense to me.

Slim, you've been a member here for almost 2 years.  You should know by now that video chat requires RMS.  This is the way it is now and has always been.  You should also know by now that if you uncheck the box next to 'Use RMS' in Ray base settings, that chat will operate in text mode.

just hope the Final version won't be to far from now cause my hosting will not upgrade RMS till

Previous version were run from the boonex free server so never caused a problem. Also i havent been using dolphin for some 8 - 9 months and only started again because they released v7 so there is a whole lot of info that i have forgotten

I was under the impression that this forum was to ask questions and help each other, maybe i got that wrong as well:-)
