zodaic icon question

How do you get the zodaic icons to work, I enabled it in the admin panel and put some icons in the folder with the right names but nothing appears.

Hmm.. Good question. I don't see them either.

I'm willing to bet there is a specific file name the icons needs with a particular extension.  However no zodiac icons come iwth boonex installation and the only admin option is to enable them.  Can a boonex person please give a little instruction here.

I found them in the RC2 download. They are located in the uni template here:

templates/tmpl_uni/images/zodiac/

Still not sure why they are not loading.. Still playing with that one.

I applied the changesets but nothing still shows.  only time something shows is if I add the code that mrpowless has listed, then the alt text will appear but not the new icon type.  Anyone else try the changeset?

Hello everyone!

Yes, it was tested - it is available in extended view. Main detail - zodiac icons now are placed in templates/tmpl_uni/images/zodiac folder. So if u use own template then copy / take new icons with name like 'virgo.png' to images/zodiac of current template. In 7.1 this system will be made more flexible.

If u don't want to copy images every time then u can re-declare value of variable $site['zodiac'] in templates/tmpl_***/BxTemplConfig.php.

Exactly what do you mean by 'extended view'?

Anyway, it dose not work for me..... yes I copied all the images to my own template directory.

You say it works... I say prove it.

HL, if you want to see these zodiac signs, there is only 1 place I can find them. After you apply the changesets and you have Enable Zodiac Signs checked in Advanced Settings>Profiles.

From your homepage, click Members. You will see a tab on the top right that says "Extended". If you click that, then you will see them. You cannot see them in simple view mode.

I am also only getting the alt text and  no zodiac icons.

Thanks Zarcon for the instructions on where the icons are, it does seem to be a very very limited feature.  Hopefully they will flush it out to show other places.

Hello Zarcon!

Yes, u presented nice explanation "from user side". Extended view is available also in search results.

That's all it does?  ....puts a microscopic icon next to your user name?
