why have tones of links suddenly appeared all over my site?

Hi All....

i woke up thismorning in a daze and had to do some admin work for a new mwmber on my site, and i notice a link (double blue line) under some text...then I noticed more and then more....

They were on nouns such as city names and some appear quite random. So I moused over them and a box popped up with a friggin link in it something called easy link or quick link or something like that... i was too tired to remember... but it freaked the crap out of me....

It wasn't like that when I went to bed..... Have the spam pixies been out at night weaving some kind of spam spell?????

Anyone know what this is? why it has happened? and more importantly - how to get rid?

Sounds exactly like inline ads. Some banner advertisers such as adbrite have a type of ad called inline ads that turn key words found on your page into a ad link.

Did you sign up with any new advertisers lately such as adbrite?

If it's easy inline, than from what i have found out, it's a browser add-on. Should be removable from add and remove programs.

Amusingly... I checked the date and All I can see is that I picked this little nasty piece of adware up from FB...

All removed now : )

Wow, its so wrong they can do this... I guess all through legal loopholes as its browser based and not invasive of your site script!

Were you only seeing it on your site or on others as well?
