video comment

On my nice, fully operational and working OK 7.1 install, I can up sounds, vids, pics etc and they process well. However, when I record a video comment, it goes into processing mode, then says error processing video. I must be doing something wrong somewhere, but cannot for the life of me think what. (Cam works great in chat) Anyone?????

You have to use an RMS server.

I can give you free RMS service.

Send the site link again PM, I'll send you IP and ports after that.

 If webcam is working in Chat, then he must already be using RMS. I think there is another port and/or php function that needs to be enabled though.

 true but depend on RMS version too.

.9 and below does not process comments.

7.1 RMS and above does.

this is built into the server operating system as below

CentOS 5.5 x64 with Red5 media server

 their was no issue before dolphin 7.1

 your setup now; give a video comment a try and wait for processing time too.

just tried yours as instructed, ports as well, unfortunately same result. (Just to be sure, tried from 2 different computers)

when you upload videos, do they process?

I get a cron job notification via admin email showing comment was processed.

Now one thing, I've done SVN updates to that site so it remains updated, so if you know how to pull the SVN, then zip it up then FTP it to site.

 not sure he will as normally he get me to do most thing.  not sure myself, so if you can give instructions i can get this done

Uploaded videos do process, as can be seen by videos on the site, likewise audio files process. Video cam works in the chat. As for SVN, That is so far above my head I would need an extending ladder :)

most times when I correct this on a server it's this line in SSH

chmod 777 ./flash/modules/board/files ./flash/modules/chat/files ./flash/modules/photo/files ./flash/modules/im/files ./flash/modules/mp3/files ./flash/modules/video/files ./flash/modules/video_comments/files 

 Pfffttttt! I put it up and adapted it to my preferences, App'ed it (after help from someone here :) , And even added a few mods and changed a few things. But I am stuck on SVN, the only thing I can think of is SVN of nine... and that is a real distraction :)

Permissions changed, same result, using newtons RMS

they are already set to 777

In desperation I tried the ultimate cure all.... I cleaned the cache. Guess what!!!!! No joy :(

this is driving me crazy! everything else works well!
