video chat does not work with flash player 10

Well i think that depends on who you ask, mostly its a combination i feel of flash 10, firefox3 and whatever plugins youve got installed on forefox if the chat will work or not.

Good news though, boonex is going to release a 6.1.5 final after theve done ironing out the new dolphin 7, and im pretty confident that is one of the things they will look at.

I use my chat with firefox3 and flash 10 and it works fine, i have heard it say that the google toolbar can cause a lot of problems with firefox and flash 10 combination, so if you have that installed maybe you should look at that. also have a go with some other browser like IE to see if you still have problems, IE usually works great with dolphin, as do other browsers.

Sucks that the chat doesnt work with I.E i get so many complaints not everyone wants to download google or firefox...I wish this update for the widgets would take place...

It does suck your right, but it also very a strange problem you have too. Most people complain that its firefox and flash 10 that messes up the chat and the ray, but not usually IE, in fact when i have a problem with ray in firefox, all i do is go to my IE and i can do what i was trying to do which i couldnt with firefox. Cant help feeling its something to do with your server set up or something. or this would be a more common problem than it is, like with firefox.

Well all i can tell you is, my chat works both with IE and firefox3. There are so many variables though with this, a lot of the time its because the server you are on isnt set up properly for RMS, or dolphin. Its hard to pin point the real problems sometimes, but the chat does work in firefox3 and with IE if set up properly

i have to disable the google toolbar addon in firefox and the IE tab addon ...than ray massanger works also in firefox

LOL, it just show how much people dont really read the replys to their questions.... I answered this on my second reply from the top, fourth post down....

its the google toolbar that causes problems, so try it without that, and see if it works for you.

yes ,  the goole toolbar makes the problem , but also other addons like the IE tab addon for firefox.

is sad to see that BoonEx does not react on it :-(

tray to disable all of your firefox addons and try again ... like i say, its not just the google addon ... also another addons can make this problem ... if than the chat work, after you disable all addons, than try to find out wich addon makes the problem and post the addon name here please ... maybe this info helps boonex solve the problem

it makes me angry that no one from the boonex team try to help us :-( ... i mean , i have purchased the ray messanger and it  dont works for many of my users

 I'm running Flash plugin version 10,0,22,87 and Fire Fox 3.06 and no issues in any Dolphin Flash app. ...So it may be install specific (Client Side) My analytic stats show 30% of my users on Mozilla FF and Flash 10.x. no issues except for 1 Safari and a Chrome user

i have made a fresh dolphin install ... still the same problem ... ray messanger dont work with firefox ..... and still no help from boonex here

I installed the dolphin 6.1.4 and Ray chat does not work. I tried all the setting, licenses, rms base settings and still it does not work.

There are lots of people who will help you, but this is a problem well spoken about all over the forum, so have you tried using the very good search on here, see if that helps you. The trouble with this problem is that it is one with many reasons why the chat, IM dont work for you. you say you are having trouble connecting to your RMS which of course runs the chat and IM and all the other fancy things, without a good RMS you have no hope of running dolphin properly. So with this in mind, i hope you arent trying to work your site off the free boonex RMS, because it doesnt really work and you will need to get RMS from another Host, a host that works with Dolphin, and know what it needs. This is a very strange problem which doesnt seem to have just one solution, as my chat and everything else works with firefox, and if that lets me down, as it does sometimes with video uploading, i just nip onto IE and it works fine. And yes, i have flash 10 installed too. So with the right set up it does work for all the people shouting that it doesnt.

I hope you went 6.1.5 first, i dont think you can go straight from 4 to 6 Could be this thats causing you grief, also although im not too sure about this, if you have your own RMS, i think you have to have the new RMS script installed, if thats not right, Im sure somebody will come along in a bit and tell me im talking outa my bottom, but its there for what help it gives you :-)

It works in IE, I have https, SSL and the latest Abode Flash Player 10. I couldn't get Ray Chat to work in IE initially. You can see my post on I how I resolved that if you have the same set up as I do. Pain in the ass took me almost a day to get it fixed. It should work with FF & Safari once your RMS is installed and a RMS host server is set up (usually $5-10 monthy hosting plan for RMS only). Viewers on FF and Safari will need to install the latest Adobe Flash Player Plug-in for those 2 browsers and restart their browsers after that install, if they do have the latest Flash Player.
