user profile errors/ ?script path

just bought and installed dolphin today, so far im loving it but i seem to have already encounted an error

my site is : http://www.mobstarentertainment.com/opolis/

to use as a reference

basically the user profiles are non existent? I keep getting 404 errors

I created them before i upgraded to the ad-free version, but i dont think that has anything to do with it

I think my problem has to do with the installation

the script path

/usr/local/bin/php

I didn't set these, but the installation let me continue

do you think this is causing my problem, and how do i go about going back and setting these, and how would i find this information (i am running on a Yahoo Server)

thank you for your time

The profiles are still there. http://www.mobstarentertainment.com/opolis/profile.php?ID=1

Check your .htaccess files. Search the forums for 404 error. or htaccess. I believe it is a problem with your .htaccess files or mod rewrite is not enabled on the server.

thanks for your response

I cannot upload "invalid characters" such as  ".", so .htaccess files were not uploaded

I will look into whether the mod rewrite is enabled on the server.

so the profiles are there, as you pointed out as http://www.mobstarentertainment.com/opolis/profile.php?ID=1

but on the main page, it links the profiles as http://www.mobstarentertainment.com/opolis/Allison

which doesn't exist

any ideas on that?

Thank

Is this a windows server? If it linux you should have no problem uploading the .htaccess. And it is that file that handles the rewrites. It is need on a linux box. I don't know about windows.

I am noticing this on a lot of pieces of the whole site

like under the main groups link, it directs a link towards http://www.mobstarentertainment.com/opolis/groups/all

when, that doesn't exist, niether on the server, nor in the code structure that I downloaded and installed from

should i re-install?

So if you are on a Yahoo Server, you cannot use Boonex because of the .htaccess restriction

Rename .htaccess file to htaccess.txt, upload it and then rename it back to .htaccess

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
