upload files causes changes in builder

I had a couple bugs which I had fixed in the way the directory mod showed information, and now when I save something in the pages builder, all my changes disappear.  If I re-upload the following files, my changes in the pages builder disappear from view, but they are still there in the pages builder.  If I save them again, my changes in the following folders disappear:

inc/de_chached folder and pageview.inc

What are the perms you have set for:

inc/db_cached/pageview.php

inc/db_cached/menucontent.php

Also please note:  You do NOT upload files to this directory, Apache uses it to set the files in and rewrite them as you make changes in your Fields builders.  When you move a block from one spot to another Apache rewrites the entire file to make your pages resolve the way you want them to.  IE:  These are DB generated files and NOT files you upload to your server.

The perms are set for 644 is this incorrect, and what should they be?  My knowledge of programming is very limited.  Any files that were changed were part of a mod, and at one time it worked correctly.

Thanks

I've seen ALOT of mods (hundreds of them) and can only recall one that mentioned touching these files, it only wanted you to adjust the perms, delete the files and then set the perms back, never edit/upload any new ones for it as the server does this on it's own.

Unless your running suPHP here are your permissions:

inc/  755

inc/db_cached/ 777

inc/db_cached/MenuContent.php  666

inc/db_cached/PageView.php 666

inc/db_cached/SiteStat.php 666

inc/db_cached/ProfileFields.php 644  (Why is that, I notice the owner is "nobody" versus the login name, believe it has to do with Apache)

Those should have you set up correctly in regards to the folder/file permissions.

I tried changing the perms like you said, but it screwed things up even worse.  My homepage doesn't display correctly.  I'm not sure if those files were ever touched, but they do change whenever I save anything in the html block.  I keep losing the info on my displayed business listings on the business directory mod.

I had a computer programmer look at it, but they couldn't figure it out.  I have an e-mail into support at dolphin, just not sure how this new system works, I didn't get a response the first time I submitted a ticket to one of the agents.
