upgrade from FREE to ADFREE

Okay, I'm an idiot.  I've tried reading through the forums, but the explanations here are clear as mud.  Help!

Here is what I did.  First, I installed the adfree version of dolphin, and applied the adfree license.  That seemed to work.  Then I wanted to install the FREE versions of the ray modules.   Apparently that cannot be done?

So, NOW I have the FREE version of Dolphin running and the FREE versions of the ray modules running.

I have an adfree license that I still have not plugged back in. 

So here are my questions:

1. Do I need to totally re-install dolphin to plug in the ADFREE license that I purchased? or How can I avoid totally reinstalling Dolphin to plug in the ADFREE license that I have?

2. Can I use the FREE versions of the modules for ray/orca, etc? with the ADFREE dolphin? (this didn't seem to work for me before).

Thanks for humoring these questions.  I've gone through the forum, but it doesn't seem very search friendly or I'm just doing something wrong.

Anyays, I am patched up to 6.1.4 on FREE.

 I just found this that appears to answer the overarching question regarding if I can have free ray with paid dolphin.  Perhaps I did something wrong in my setup?  Because when I applied the ADFREE license in Dolphin, then all my free ray stuff stopped working.    So ...   I guess, if this persons answer is "yes" my question would be "how", lol.

I don't know why, but it WORKED this time.

I removed the FREE license, saved

then went back and plugged in the ADFREE license that I had purchased earlier this year.

It worked fine.

All the free RAYZ stuff and the oRCA forums seem to work too.

So, I don't know what my problem was previously.

IF you have the FREE version of DOLPHIN those licenses are interchangeable.

You'll need to login to ADMIN remove the FREE Licenses and log out. Then you need to clear your Browser Cache and wait 1 minute. Now log back into your ADMIN at which time you will be provided with a red box to license Dolphin. Enter the AD FREE license and your all set. Within a minute or two the BOONEX product icons will be removed.

RAY WIDGETS are NOT interchangeable and REQUIRE a complet FRESH install of the proper AD FREE or FREE RAY Widget Family.

MAKE SURE to save your proper Ray Widget "files" folder to ensure you do not lose previously upload material. ALSO a good idea to BACK UP your site before performing tthe RAY WIDEGET installs.

Does this answer your Question's regarding Licenses and how they work?

 Hrrmmmm ... I could have sworn I answered this, lol.  Well, I have successfully gotten the adfree version of dolphin to work, AND with the FREE versions of the ray widgets ...

Of course my next step is to apply a template/theme that I just purchased ...  I'm getting errors with that complaining that I've removed the dolphin footer and need to purchase an AD FREE version of dolphin for that ... um .. I did that. LOL.  But, I'll take that issue up with the creator of the template, lol.
