all of a sudden getting file upload error with music.. makes no sense

Make sure your php settings are still the same or ask host if they changed anything recently. Check files folders are set to 777 and ffmpeg.exe 777. Install folder usually isn't needed after installing and good working order. But if you didn't remove them they obviously should still be there.

the file persmissions are set correctly

its strange, i dont know why it did this all of a sudden

maybe i should try re-installing the app from the admin panel?

i just noticed something odd, in internet explorer 6, when i select the file put the info in and click upload, it just sits at 0%

in firefox though it uploads the file then when its in the approving stage it gives the error after a few seconds

for my RMS im using:

RMS port: 1935
RMS HTTP port: 5080

could it be a problem not being able to connect to rms?

Quote · 5 Sep 2008

rms is not needed for music, mp3, or video uploads. For profile video recording it would be but not what you sound like you are trying to do.

I really don't know what to tell you if it worked fine earlier, you didn't change anything you mention and now it don't work.

That's why I mentioned asking your host if they did anything and check files/folder permissions.

Only thing I notice in your phpinfo you posted is allow_url_fopen off. Boonex suggests allow_url_fopen must be on. But I don't know if it would affect this.

Just out of curriousity your forums work too? Because in the same phpinfo file I am used to seeing another module in the list that I didn't see, unless I overlooked it. But that's a different story.

my forums are pretty much working fine

i just emailed them a bunch of stuff ill see what they say

do you know if i can turn allow_url_fopen on via my php.ini or htaccess or whatever or is that something only the server admins can do

Quote · 5 Sep 2008

If you see 0 percent during uploading - this is just mean that uploading not begin,

maybe you use proxy at your computer that requery authentication?

allow_url_fopen off

.. if you will have Off here - you will unable to register your dolphin and ray widgets .. maybe problems with RSS

Also recheck what ffmpeg are you use, here are ffmpeg`s for windows platform, unix, lynux - all different. Recheck compatibility

Your host has php set up as cgi, which means you would use php.ini to potentially make changes. Do not use .htaccess in the case of your setup to make the change you will get a 500 error.

Sometimes you can just make a php.ini file with notepad and drop it in your main directory with the changes. Some and possibly in your case it needs to go in cgi-bin, sometimes in other folders.

See if you have a php.ini already in main directory or cgi-bin. If so make the changes to it. If not first try droping one into your main directory...yoursite.com/php.ini

Try to add the following to php.ini

allow_url_fopen = On

or

allow_url_fopen = 1

Refresh your phpinfo.php page to verify whether allow_url_fopen Off changed to On

If not you may have to ask your host about this or where to put a php.ini file.

my widget said it wasnt installed in the admin panel but was working fine on the user end a day ago, before all of this nonsense, i then re-"installed" it from the admin panel the base ray and registered it..  may that be the problem? its confused some where its trying to use like old config files or something? i dont know, im just throwing out ideas..

I JUST UPLOADED A FILE THAT WAS 184KB, and it WORKED.

But when I tried to upload a file that was 2.34MB it FAILED.

I have the MAX FILESIZE set at 20! And, my php settings, upload_max_filesize is 100M and all other settings are correct values as per boonex requirements.

What could be wrong here?

Same problem....Everything works fine in firefox with uploading music and video but in IE it just shows pending then returns with error after several minutes.

This problem is everywhere. is it an compatibility error between ffmpeg and flash 10? If so, will boonex do anything to fix this? Is there a ffmpeg that i can download the would be compatible or do we have to wait on Boonex? This is major
