simple messenger does not install 7.0.1 B2

Had Simple Messenger version 2.0.1 to 7.0.9 Esase installed on dolphin

Done B2 update 7.0.1 does not work and uninstalled by adm.

When I try to delete I get this error message.

I had some old mods that were not compatible with B2 and it caused problems for me too because I deleted the directory in cpanel. I don't recall the error message, but what I did to correct it was to add the directories back in the mods folder and then I was able to remove and deleted them through the Admin Panel. I hope this helps.
