scriptologist misleading statement for Multi-Page Creator module

Mark (scriptologist) has recently posted two misleading replies to reviews I've submitted about his modules.  In http://www.boonex.com/market/comment_view/10320 he implies that everything has been "settled" when in fact he as done nothing ... not even messaged me to inform my why he has done nothing to resolve issues with the Multi-Page Creator module.  I honestly wish I could get a full refund for the Multi-Page Creator module... it's not what he implied it would be and I'm extremely disappointed with it and his lack of support.

I would have preferred to reply directly to his comment on the module review page... but we're not allowed to.  Seems once a buyer has left a review, that's it... we cannot add an updated review or reply to any developer comments.  And Mark does not provide any module support forums... so comments cannot be made there either.

Remember how I said to contact another moderator, because I was overloaded with work?  This isn't contacting another moderator, nor is it a dispute.  It's basically a useless topic.

And what's a dispute going to accomplish?  I'm just trying to set the record straight so Mark does not mislead people.  Plus I have no confidence that I could get a refund from Mark.

More of a "moderators make sure developers don't cause problems or else they get the boot" than refund.  But  alas, I'll take a look at this as soon as the muffins are finished.

Will you also consider my other post about Mark's Routes module comment... the one you immediately removed from the forum?  I can prove his comment about doing the work for "free" is false.  I have receipts to prove I paid him for both the original module and the contract work for additional functionality.  Plus I have the receipt for the additional contract work I paid another developer to fix several problems that Mark would not fix.  You've removed my rebuttal to his false statement but you've left his comment visible.  Be fair, remove them both while you investigate or let them both remain visible.

I'm not sure I am following this here. For example, 'What' has been (or not been) 'settled'?

Looking at your comment, it seems that you purchased the module and it would not do something you preferred " I could *not* use the module to create a content rich page"

Can you tell me in a nutshell what this post is about?

As for your last comment, you have the right to pay someone or not when it comes to doing custom work. Most charge for it, some will do minor things for free. Some could say they will do something (like helping fix a website error) for free, then find out it will take more time and then decide to implement a charge for them to keep going.

Nothing to see here

That's just it... what has been "settled"?  Mark never responded to my support requests so I am left to assume that he is trying to imply to readers that he has resolved my support issues... yet he has not messaged me in any way since I requested support... by all appearances, my request was ignored.

I invite you to test his module and try to create a content rich page... I could not do it.  There should be an option to create a main (large) block using an advanced TinyMCE editor so a mixture of text and images can be added and formatted.

I don't understand your statement (below).  Mark is implying that he did the work for free.  I'm stating that I have proof that I paid him to make the changes.  He's complaining that it was a lot of extra work and I'm stating that his code-work had so many problems that it took him many revisions to finally produce a "working" copy... which still had problems... and that he would not fix them.  In frustration I finally paid someone else to fix several problems... some of which were simply bad programming on Mark's part.

This guy is awesome! You want to get a full refund of what? You purchased the 50% coupon code last december, the multi-page creator was part of that. The multi-page creator module descriptioin was clearly defined on the description, ofcourse. The functions are all there.

We have a long chat on skype which I believe leaving Mr. Paul feeling good. These are the last messages.

[4/16/2012 4:21:40 AM] paul.olynek: chrome crashed when I tried to add a GPS ... *LOL*... could be a few reasons for that... I'll try again
[4/16/2012 4:24:33 AM] paul.olynek: YES!!!!!!!... the image displays on the test site... now I'll try my dev site.
[4/16/2012 4:27:35 AM] paul.olynek: did you add the fix for the Site Stats?

[4/16/2012 4:42:04 AM] paul.olynek: definitely displaying... I uploaded 3 GPX files successfully... no issues.

[4/19/2012 3:19:40 AM] paul.olynek: Where you able to figure out how to set the number of recently added routes to the homepage? Most other modules I own have an admin setting in the module for it.  Should I ask other BoonEx members for help?  Is it your *preference* to minimize any further time spent on this module?  Honestly, it's starting to look like I"ll have to pay someone to add the Site Stats fix and to add any further modifications I think are necessary.
[4/19/2012 3:28:56 AM] paul.olynek: How about I maintain the GPS Routes module?  On the condition that I have full control so I can have the code reviewed and, where necessary, cleaned up.

So what else can I do for you sir?

Mark

Mark, a "full refund" simply means you return the funds paid to you for something you did not deliver as intended.  Your Multi-Page Creator module was a huge disappointment... even if I did purchase it during a 50% Off sale (why should that somehow make it okay?).

As for the Skype messages... after several months of waiting, and a multitude of messages sent asking you to complete the work I paid you for, you finally got the GPS Routes module working to some degree... and, after so much frustration, I was indeed feeling some sense of relief that maybe you'd complete your work.  But you stopped at that point and did nothing further to finish fixing the remaining problems with your module.  You left me no choice but to hire another programmer to complete your work.  By all appearances you did not care about fixing or maintaining the module.  I even offered you a code-fix to one of the problems... and got no response whatsoever.  This is the first time you've responded in any way... months later.

By the end of it all, I was so completely disappointed with our business transactions that I just wanted to walk away from the whole mess and accept the expensive lesson that I should avoid vendors that do not maintain a BoonEx.com support forum for each of their commercial modules, i.e. proving they offer reasonable support.  Mark, the only reason I stepped back into this mess was to inform site moderators about your misleading replies to my reviews of your Multi-Page Creator and GPS Routes modules.  I asked that your comments either be removed or I be allowed to add a "rebuttal" reply.  I was told my concerns would be added to others... appears I'm not the only person disappointed with you.

As far as I can recall, we didn't discuss any issues on the Multi-Page Creator on skype, the only things we talked about are the Photo Tag, Guest Surf Limit and the GPS route, which I believe at the end of you statement, you mentioned that the Site Stats is the only problem that's left and you had the sql fixed as you mentioned that would fix it, and I was able to apply that fixed as well in the GPS route product updated here on boonex.

Now, if you have issues on the Multi-Page Creator you want to discuss, I've given you my skype ID, you can message me anytime, but if you're planning on ruining me here on boonex, then go on.

I work several sleepless weeks on that GPS module features you wanted for an amount far less than it's worth doing, because you said it would make the module better and would be attractive to other clients, and what did you do, you're the one putting some negative comment to it. I'm not totally naive, I can still see things beyond computer codes.

I want to settle things, I'm proud of my products, I work hard to achieve them. Let's solve any of my product code issues, but spare me on any personal agenda.

Thank you.

Sounds good Mark... but doing this privately over Skype will not help others that may have experienced similar problems... and possibly found a solution they're willing to share.  If you create a Support Forum for each of your $$$ modules, starting with the ones I've purchased, then I'll post my support requests and you can respond to them there... allowing your other clients to have an opportunity to benefit from issues found and resolved.

Mark (scriptologist), I noticed you've added Support forums for many of your modules... but not for Multi-Page Creator, GPS Routes, Photo Tag, or Guest Surf Limit

Why not provide Support forums for them too?  One could think you're not interested in offering support for those modules.  Are you not proud of all your products?  Do you not want to solve product code issues for them too?
