responding to your questions

Basic support requests need some basic info if you expect people to reply. here are some do's and don'ts to help you get a better responce to your questions.

Do: keep in mind, that the people that know the most, are the people that make a living online, our time is valuable,  we dont waste it, and we dont look at posts that tell us nothing.

Don't make posts like this:

title:

Help

content:

my site dont work, whats wrong?

RESPONCE:

we are not Clairvoyant we wouldnt waste a click on the title as it tells us the type of idiotic question that lays inside.

if you want to know whats wrong and need a prediction then pay a Clairvoyant.

Do make posts like this:

title:

SQL error after 6.1-6.1.3 upgrade

content:

paste any error codes

describe the last few steps you were doing and the one that caused the error code to show up.

tell us your setup. i.e. shared/vps/dedicated server hosting, mods installed, mysql version, php version, dolphin version.

RESPONCE:

people that know about SQL will reply, people with other SLQ errors will look at the thread as it develops, and they might find a fix for their own problem.

people that think an SQL is a gray furry thing with a bushy tail that eats accorns and lives in a tree. will bypass the thread altogether.

We tailor our replies to your skill level, you tell us you're a programmer, you get the tech version in reply. tell us you are new to webmastering, and we give the simplistic reply.

tell us you code php and have no idea what chmod is, then you'll never get another reply. you are wasting our time, and not being honest, so why would we help dishonest people?
