Hi! No, that doesn't mean you have to pay to register a new domain name. The reset option is a useful tool to remove your license registration in case you changed domain name and want to use your Dolphin license code with thew new one. Let me know if you have any questions. Regards, Lyubov. |
this is actually a great feature, previously if you changed your domain, you would have to write in and request a license release from the bind on the domain. this could take days. now if you change your domain, which in most cases is highly unlikely, then you can simply navigate to your unity license section, and reset the bind, you are not removing the license number, just the bind. *NOTE* do not hit remove on the license number if you are using a license that has a remove feature, I.E. free licenses are removalable, not a big deal i dont suppose, but you would need to create a new one and reassign it or bind it to your domain name. So this new Reset feature in unity , if exp i click on reset and i did put new domaine is that mean i have to pay for the new domaine name licence or no ? there was acutally talk back pre-dolphin7 release that this was going to be a paid feature, whereas you could get a domain released once, then you would pay $50.00 for every additional request. i dont know how nix'd that one, but great job on that decision. Releasing your boonex dolphin license, as you have changed your domain, and need to reassign your license to the new domain is now done from the reset feature of your unity account under licenses section.
