remove email from mass mail but keep as member

I would like to remove some members from receiving our mass mail - But do not want to delete them from our site.   Can I do this?  Please help and how do I do it?

Made a new Membership level and move your selected mebers to this Membership level

When you send massmail choose wich membership you shall send to

(default Membership for all members is: Standard)

An easy way is to go into the database and change "notify_me" to not notify on their profiles. I'm not sure what the actual text is but you will see it when you get there.
