applied my license to my site yet it didn't remove the ads
the license shows as applied to the domain... are they no longer viable? it shows as being applied to teh domain yet does nothing...

Removed. Please do try to manually clear the cache as said above. With a FTP client, empty the /cache and /cache_public directories, except for the .htaccess files.

I'm having the same problem. I just purchased a new license and I registered the license, but I'm still seeing the "powered by Boonex" link in the home page and About US page. I cleared both the cache and cache_public directories and I also disabled all cache options (under Tools -> Cache -> Settings). The documentation for removing the license seems to be quite outdated. It says to "go to Admin>Settings>Advanced Settings>Variables and enter your license number (found at ) and save". The link on the about page isn't a part of the license - it's dummy text that's meant to be replaced. You can update it from Administration => Settings => Languages Settings. Search for "_ABOUT_US". Edit the result that says "_ABOUT_US (System)" and change the text to your liking.

Yes, I mentioned this a long time back. I think a ticket was made but can not remember so that this text would be controlled by the license or it would be reworded. I guess we may see it in 7.1.5 or maybe 7.2 now that Boonex is going to do a Microsoft. Geeks, making the world a better place |
