please help

Hello and good morning

I have ver 7.1

I click on join and filled out info on the join page

some how I have issues with the following.

- Date of birth ---- I did not allow me to select the date ( the drop down box is not available to click)

- Captcha "said " security image failed " -------- what do i type in "Captcha in admin panel??? I do not know what to type there ( i just make up a text "type in the text security in the box) in admin

I have no clue how and why i have these isues

please help

Not sure which version of Dolphin you are running but the Date Of Birth is a 'popup' type box that opens when you click in the DOB field.

For Captcha to work you need keys for it. You can find the instruction in the Admin Panel Dashboard.

go here to get your captcha http://www.google.com/recaptcha Go to your admin login and click on Dashboard (first Choice) follow the instructions for Initial Steps.

If your using Google chrome as your browser when trying to join it will not open the calendar, there is a fix just type chrome and calendar in forums search.

Take your time and just follow the "initial Steps" in your admin dashboard. I have to ask have you logged into your Admin Dashboard yet?

2. Generate your own Captcha keys and fill them in here

after you click the link to generate captcha click on the word "here" at the end of the sentence or go to admin dashboard, click on settings, click on SECURITY and enter your keys. Make sure you write down your captcha keys after you generate them.

you have to click the > at the end of each line in settings to open a menu. captcha is in the Security menu

 I am worried how people will handle sites, specially dolphin 

 I hear you but we all have to start somewhere. I try to operate on the premise "Todays newbie is tomorrows expert." and lets face it Dolphin is not at all intuitive.

Well the good thing we can do is point them in the 'area' they need to be in and let them figure it out instead of just 'doing it for them'. For someone wanting to run a Dolphin site, they are going to need to know as much as possible :)

 Hello and thank you --- my cpatcha is now working - id did created a global key because i am lazy to created seperated one for each site.

WHY is it the "Date of Birth" field in join page is not working, the drop down menu is not working, i click on the box -- nothing happen. it sould open a calendar for me to select the date --- How do i fix this please help. 

 I'm still waiting for community software like Secondlife.com that's the kinda site I want to run.

I would say this is the 21st post on this topic. lol 

 i clear browser and cookied from admin and from the browser itself.

i try mozilla, there is no dropdown error in the DOB box --- i click on it it is not open or no popup

on google chorme i have dropdown error in the DOB box - but when i click on it no popup or calendar

Dolphin is not a plug and play application; it really is a developer's application where you become the admin for the client you are hosting the site for.

Look back up, you were given a link to fix the Chrome issue. You can not know which browser your users may use so you need to fix the issue.

Hello THANK YOU YOU ALL. I have issues with my computer. - I shut it down , re-boot clear browser and deleye cookie. in admin and in hosting cpanel delete cache, tmp 

it work now DOB open THANK YOU 

I am having issues with DOB & Captcha ----------- it is sometime work and some time not ---- I clear cache - cache_Public, TMP... clear browser and cookie. 

Test a few time --- some time they work and some time they NOT

My God this is so stupid - is it me?

Three posts in this thread are telling you it is a known problem and there is a fix. There is even a link up there. Seek and ye shall find.

I repeat. It is a known bug. There is a fix. Read this thread thoroughly and you will find a link to the fix. 

Hello everyone

This issues with the campchaka is coming back to me again, I went to admin/advance setting and click on security tab ------------

I can't find the box to insert my google campchaka code ------ it disaapeared

also the DateOfBirth field is not working

strange thing is DOB work with firefox browser but not with google+ browser ------------ my dolphin is still ver 6.0.9

please help

 6.0.9 are you sure ?

They started out with 7.1, did they downgrade?

 As per my previous reply to you, this thread is full of people telling you the Dob issue in chrome is a known bug and links to the fix.
