phpBB/POMMO mod not working

Hi,

I use Dolphin and the mscott mod that is designed to integrate phpBB and POMMO with it.  I am having trouble getting support on the product (understand the author has retired) but wonder if anyone else has had this problem:

The installation and setup appeared to run normally.  However, the FORUMS link does not load phpBB, it brings me to a page that is mostly blanks with the words "FORUM HERE" on it.  If I try to administer the site through the Dolphin Admin panel, I get the same page.

If I manually type the URL to get to phpBB, it will load, however, I lose the masthead integration to Dolphin (which was one of the primary reasons to but the mscott mod).

Any help is appreciated,

Cheese

Are you having the same problem?  I.e., forums (and forum admin) will not load.  Instead you get taken to a blank page with the words "forum here"?

Cheers . . .

I've posted on this before but I really, really wish this was a supported mod - or if not supported at least OPEN SOURCE!  I've bought a few or these mods - they either didn't work properly or didn't keep up with upgrades.   A good PHPBB3 integration would open up a whole world for some of us, as is has an active community and many mods all its own.   It seems that Boonex is working to even more tightly integrate Orca into Dolphin, but I think it would be good for them also to make this a quality plug-in as they would automatically get the entire feature set of PHPBB - and of course we would as well.

update / ps - When I was thinking of doing this I couldn't get ahold of MSSCOTT, and I also understand he has retired.  Maybe he would be willing to make his code open source?

You probably have both an index.html and index.php file in the phpbb directory.  You probably need to delete index.html ..... or more safely, rename it to index.html.bak

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

Thanks!  That helped.

I renamed the index.html as you suggested.  The phpBB ACP now loads correctly in Dolphin Admin.

One further question ... for some reason, from my main site, phpBB will load, but it replaces the content of the window it is in ... that is, the Dolphin masthead, navigation bar and footer are all replaced ... any idea how to get phpBB to load within the website content window?

In Dolphin admin, I have the forum set to load in the same window and the URL is set to /forum

Any help is appreciated ...

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
