photo size per member * size limit * members =

I created a simple spreadsheet to calculate possible outcomes for limiting photo sizes and product of the number of members equaling number of registered members.

I want to double check that my calculations are correct in this case:

Members may upload 100 photos
Photo size estimate for 5,000 members @ 200k filesize limit x 5,000 members = 1,000,000k x 100 photos = 100,000,000k (100 gb)

1,000 members:
Photo size estimate:1,000 members: 100k file size limit x 1,000 members = 100,000k @ 100 limit per member = 10,000,000 (10 gb)
Did I do this right?
Last question in regards to FFMPEG
When a member uploads a 100k size image, it is processed by FFMPEG then displayed on web page. I understand that FFMPEG resizes the images. When you mean resized in dimensional sense or it is actually resized AND compressed as well?
Or it is not compressed, just resized? As in 100k uploaded, resized and remains at 100k size?
I'm just trying to understand how this works so that way I can loosely translate the calculations.
