photo module setting

in photos moudle > settings

i set "How Many Files Show On Home Page" to 1 and its still shows all photos

alternatively i selected  "Show Files On Index Page (If Enabled In The Template):" to last

and "Number Of Latest Files By User" to 1 and its still shows all photos

i have tested it on demo.boonex.com and my site too

nothing changed either way 

Confirmed on my test site as well, the settings seem to be ignored by the public photo block on my home page.

is there a fix soon?
