paypal membership level

Hello,

I have konfigured paypal and membership level. After check out all works finfe i can pay the new member ship level. And I come return to my site but the level will not upgrade automatically.

In module paypamet i see all but the field Order ID is empty.

When I fill out it I can make the rest manually with click on Proccess.

But I mean it have to go completly automatically.

How I can make this?

@ewsg, I don't wish to be critical with anyone here, but I think a number of Dolphin's packaged modules may struggle with modern demands. I  feel that anyone playing with PayPal and membership should seriously consider a more robust module from someone like AntonLV or Modzzz.

These guys have taken the basic module and improved it immensely.

I think it's something you should consider.

While you wait for an answer from John, when working with membership payments using PayPal, I have found the most reliable method for getting the memberships auto applied is to use IPN method.  If there is not a proper response back from PayPal to let Dolphin know the payment went through, the membership won't be applied.  Thus requiring you to go in and manually finish the transaction.

I tried all methodes. IPN, direct and PDT.

I get no response from paypal with IPN and direct, so I can´t see anything in payment table to make it manually.

With PDT paypal send a response but membership level don´t upgrade. But I see it and can make it manual.

It have to be a way to make all automatically OR?

I'm sorry, but I don't have a useful response. I don't use membership payments and it's something I've never played with. I just recall seeing advanced membership modules at the store and the third party developers usually refine things before releasing their mods.

There's a couple of older Youtube videos, but the one I watched never mentioned Paypal. However, they may touch on something you have missed:

Also, you may care to look at the three part video on setting up a store. I watched it some time ago and thought it was very good.  If I remember correctly, it touches on Paypal and something there may also help you.

@ewsg; I am willing to look into this for you but in order to do so you have to trust me enough to give your paypal account; which of course you can change afterwards.  If you are interested, send me a PM and in that PM I will give you my contact information.  Never post any login and passwords in this forum as it is public and visible to search engines.

PayPal can be a bit hard to understand; my guess is that the problem is on PayPal side of things and that you don't have PayPal set correctly.
