page redirecting problem

I had been modifying this software and lately couldn't work for few months, when I had left everything seems to be working fine but now after around 2 month I'm again trying to work on it I'm facing quite weird problem. Everything is working fine except I'm not redirected to its landing page after I login. It display Please wait message and then I'm redirected to nowhere else. And same is the problem while I'm logging out. However if I click on some other link then I can see my profile and access my account and other features. Does anyone know what went wrong??

It would be helpful if you provided your url for your site so we can have a look and see what happens when we visit.  It is hard to tell what you are saying without being able to see examples.

Well the site is still in my local but i'm uploadin it in live rit now. Anyway my problem is, it is not redirecting after i login or logout from anywhere. Any idea??

I know this is somewhat old but I just was having this problem and wanted to post my personal fix for it incase anyone else finds themselves in this problem and is unable to fix it.  I am using Firefox to view the page and I have the Webdeveloper extension installed.  On that bar I unchecked: Disable > Disable Meta Redirects.  This was my problem.  I guess it has Meta Redirects disabled by default or something...
