Outline is only showing recent posts wich are made with the posts extension and not showing any posts when they are directly entered into the timeline.
is there a setting i am missing because i cannot find any.

Outline and recent post on the home page only show the Posts (in simple words Blog post ). Any thing you will post on timeline won't be shown in the outline but will be shown in Dash. Umar Haroon |
ok so it is not a setting i missed, maybey somthing for the developpers because i do not want to use the posts extension but would like the outline to show recent timeline posts. using both in my opinion is a bit to much why use two extensions when you can do the same with one. after all outline is a timeline module an recent posts a posts module, why not use outline for timeline and recent posts for posts so peolple can choose what they show on the homepage |
Dont know who changed the forum on this post but it was created in the dolphin u forum maybe an idea to leave it there so peolple and developers can reply accordingly. |

Timeline is for you and your friends. They are two different things. Outline it meant to be a home page collage of site content postings in chronological order. Timeline is each members own personal activity board. Just because they present content in a similar matter doesn't mean you can't do the same thing with one system. Can you imaging a busy site with hundreds of people actively posting stuff to their timeline? If all this activity appeared on the home page outline in real time, it would be an indecipherable chaotic mess. P.S. I don't know who moved this topic either, but I'll see what I can do. Ok i understand that on a busy site with hundreds of users it is not the best idea but when you have a site with a low amount of users like mine it is. maybe an option to ad in timeline settings some check boxes like there is for show events in timeline but than make it show events in outline so people can chouse for themselves what to show in their outline |
