new users are joining and accounts are defaulting to suspended

Hi Everyone.

I have just opened my site and have a free and a paid membership.

I have it set to automatic approve accounts but when members join the accounts are going to suspended unless I manually change them.

I have searched and checked all settings and cant see why this is happening.

If anyone has a clue would appreciate some help

Make sure all three settings are checked under Administration > Settings > Moderation Settings.

Thanks, yes they are all checked.

I even have the option checked so they dont have to activate off the email and yet each member goes straight to suspended.
