new item on member menu...?

ok... so i got interactive tutorial videos running in a popup window at alst.... kind of... they dont like IE at the mo...

Anyway they are way cool... what I want to do now is to have add an item (the work Turorials or an icon) to the member menu and then have a series of links show when it is clicked for different tutorials (open the various popups).

Do I just go into builders / member menu / top extra - and add a new item and then edit it with a newly created lang key?

I cant seem tio get this to work. nothing shows in the member toolbar.

Or am I way off track and iyt is more complicated than I think?

Any help will be appreciated.

When you add a new item make sure at least these fields are filled out.

System Name: Test
Language Key: _Test
Default Name: Test
URL: test.php
Icon: test.png

Script can be blank. It is used only under special circumstances.

If you leave Default name blank then nothing will show up in the menu, so it cannot be blank. Normally you set this to the same as the system name should be the same as the english text of what you have in the language key.

The icon must be just a file name and the icon must be in the templates icon folder.

I also found your people online module that is in the member bar. It looks like a good addition. Does it work woth 7.09? and how difficult is the install?
