mod-rewrite!

I have just downloaded and installed Dolphin (newest version). Some of the links give 404 errors (profiles, videos, photos). Upon searching the web seems my mod_rewrite isn't working.

I know nothing about mod_rewrite. I'm using shared 1and1 webhosting.

Could someone please explain how to set this mod_rewrite up using 1and1 from start to finish so I can get the Dolphin to work?

I don't know how to allow mod_rewrite with your webhosting (ask them) but you can disallow URL rewritting from your site Admin Panel - Settings - Permalinks (untick all)...
