Hello, I am facing some problem regarding my Photo Module. Many users are missing their photos. All on a sudden they found their folder gone.
I can see the thumbnail inside the admin panel (photo module) but after clicking showing 'file not found'. I have checked the ftp site and found the images are there in server.
I am in a middle of an user-study which is ending on 19th December and I need an immediate feedback from you.
Please help.

Please help regards Hafiz |
I would suggest starting in the modules/boonex/photos/data/files/ directory. Check and make sure that ALL the files are there. There is more than 1 per photo: See example below
1.jpg
1_m.jpg
1_ri.jpg
1_rt.jpg
1_t.jpg
All of these 5 files are needed for your site to display the photo 1.jpg
Nothing to see here |
Hello Zarcon,
I have checked the ftp site. All 5 components are there.
Some lucky users can view their photos, but most of them are loosing their images folder all at once. bx_photo_admin shows all the images.
How can I fix it ?
|
How did you fix it? I have that problem now.
Please help
|
turn off all your cache features in the admin panel and see if problems remain.
clear both cache folders
If your using 7.0.8 both folders now have an .htaccess file that you must not remove.

so much to do.... |
I have the sme problem in 7.1.2 AND 7.1.5. Did anyone ever answer this? |
I have an answer!
Apparently, if the setting were not right before an upload, the profile is screwed unless you go into the database. I have yet to find where to code it. On mine, the problem is there is no where to approve albums, you you must set it to:
- Delete the Avatar Module
- Set (click) Auto-approve album creations in Advanced settings (Without albums, nor profile pic)
- Go to Modules/Photos/Settings and un-click Auto-activation for files (A misnomer if it wasn't for location). This protects you from having open albums full of bad pics.
- Use the Profile Picker in the page builder as your main (That's what i did - but you may not have to).
It's just a matter of settings. Now if anyone knows what to set in the DB for all the missed photos, I am open!
