migration script basic question

Hello,

I have a very basic question... I have installed dolphin 7 on a new folder of my website, and I still have dolphin 6 working (and it is the one my users use). If I use the migration script directly in my dolphin 7 folder, will the information on dolphin 6 dissapear? Because for example, when birds migrate from lets say from Africa to Europe, they dissapear from Africa and appear in Europe (in my case Africa being the 6.1.6 and Europe the 7.0 version) and I would like both to be working (because 7.0 would be for testing only)

No, your D6 site will remain in tact just the way it is. The migration will simply "copy" the information, not move it.

Actually I really liked that analogy - very poetic!
