membership levels

I am just having the hardest time getting my membership levels to function properly.  if someone joins for a 7 day promotional period, the done ever expire or get emails inviting them to join as a paid member of any of cour membership levels they simply automigrate to a "standard" status and are never asked to choose a paid memebrship option.  how and where tdo i change this default membership actuvity?  someone please help me on this one.

Also our mass mailer option doesn't appear to work either.....an tips on getting that staightened out?

I'm not an expert on this but I have had my share of the membership customizing. I'm not really understanding what it is that you are trying to accomplish. But one of the ways you can edit your membership levels is in your phpadmin area in your cpanel account. You just go to your cpanel account and migrate to the phpadmin icon, click on it. Go to the database that your site is located in and go down to sys_levels. This will take you to an area that lists all of your membership levels and how you want them to be set up. The promotional membership can also be edited by going to membership levels, under the settings tab in your Dolphin admin area. The top area is where you can control the promotional membership. I myself left everything blank because I didn't want anything to do with the promotional feature.

I hope I gave you some type of insight.
