member to non-member access question

Hello,

I'm trying to limit the access a non-member has on my site.

As of now,  non-members can still see members/search when they click the members tab.

In Navigation menu builder -> member(tab) under url -> browse.php|search.php.

no matter how i setup the members tab non-members will always be able to browse and search.

How Can i set this up so non-members cant search or browse for members and members can.

In navigation menu builder - > members :

i have member checked and guest unchecked.

i like to display the message restricted and present a login screen for non-members and for members they should see the browse and search option.

any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Go to settings in your admin panel, then go to "Membership Level" There you will see three choice "That are links" for non-member, regular member, and promo. Click on non member and ther you can delete or add what priviliges a non-member has. Hope this is what your talking about, let us know.Smile

I believe it was mrpowless (forgive me if I'm wrong on the name here) who created a modification (just a couple strings) that you can set into a file that forces anything they click to take them to member.php (which of course will require a login) to force them to login or join upon trying to access any part of the site.

Sorry, I don't have time to hunt it down yet, but it's in here somewhere, try a few different search items and it should come up.
