looked at me??

Hi all, is there any other way members can see who has viewed their profile? i purchased sneha's 'who;s visited me mod' but for some reason this currently does not work on the latest version of dolphin and i have not been able to contact him direct to work this out, so does anyone know of any way members can see who's viewed their profile? PLEASE :)

This is off site but I have used the "Who Viewed Me" module on my 7.1 site.  This is not an endorsement of this module and I take no responsibility in any way or form if it does not work for you.  Furthermore, I am not endorsing this module over any other that may be in the Market.  It is only $5.00 so it won't break the bank :lol:

 Did you try to install and get a failed error?

[edit] with FREE modules from the market or from vendors long gone that I have purchased from,

I manually edit the module/modname/free_module/install/config.php

in this file look around line 18-20 for,

   'compatible_with' => array(        '7.0.x'your going to make it look like this..

   'compatible_with' => array(        '7.x.x'save and try to re-install.

If your still getting errors then it has to be updated. From experience, 80% of them work with this small change.

Yes, I should have asked about your problem; error messages?  I may be that instead of moving to another module you can get your current module to work.

I just checked the listing for this module.  While it lists 7.x, the module may not be compatible with 7.1 due to the fact that it was last updated 16.09.2010.

 Thanks i think i will give that mod a go, the only problem is that it doesnt seem to have a option the where the member can turn this function off if they want to via the privacy settings if they didnt want to show up on the  'viewed me box'

No, and it is not tied to membership levels either; it was a low priced module with limited features.  First, why not help us to help you to see if your current module can be installed.

Did you get it to install?  If so, what are the problems, there may be a simple fix.

 Thanks, i don't get a error, the problem is i installed at as per the instructions listed and it just keeps saying 'no recent views' in the viewed me block, and i have tested it by going iand viewing a few profiles and it still shows as 'no recent views' so im lost :s

I am not sure how your module works.  Do you have a few non-admin accounts for testing that you can log in as and then visit your profile?

 Yes i have created a few demo accounts and logged into the, viewed the other profiles and it doesnt record the views, i think i will try another fresh instal and if that doesnt work i will have to give that other mod you mentioned a go, just annoys me as i have had no contact from the seller, it was only $10 (£7.00) but it all adds up at the end of the day.

Yes, my guess is the module is not compatible with 7.1 given the age of the last update.  The seller is probably inactive.  There is another forum post on this; sellers that have become inactive.  Since the module is listed as 7.x compatible, then it should work on 7.1.
