link from invite a friend not working

When I click invite a friend a link is sent, but when you click on the link it just takes you to the main page. How can I fix it?

1. recheck existing 'dol_root/tellfriend.php'  file

2. need check (at your site of course) working of launchTellFriend()  function (JS)

Thanks for the info. I'm not having issues with the link on the page, but the link it generates in the email. I goes to the main page when someone clicks the link in their email instead of redirectiong them to the login page. Where would I change this and wht would I change it to? I'm new to Dolphin so specific instructions would help.

I am having this same problem, though I have tested it in two operating systems and three browsers.  When I click the link in the email, I am taken to the main page.  If I click on Join Now, I get the join.php page with a message: Registration by invitation only.  I can't find any way around it.  The link itself looks like: mydomain.ch/Dolphin/?idFriend=1  I tried mydomain.ch/Dolphin/join.php?idFriend=1, but that didn't help.  Any suggestions?

I went in the Advanced Settings and checked "Enable affiliate support" and now it works.

I was wrong.  Now anyone can register.  Or is it just anyone who uses this computer and browser?

EDIT:  No, it's just a cookie thing.
