jquery slide up footer banners

I am interested in implementing a working slide-up banner on my dolphin site. From what I have researched, most of these slide up banners are depending on jquery.

I have had many issues with getting auxilary jquery items to work on my dolphin site in the past. They would typically break functionality and cause unexpected results (jquery banner rotators).

Has anyone implemented an overlay or slide-up type banner? I just need to display an image banner (ideally to members not logged in, but this isn't important) that they can click the link or click to close.

Attached is an example of what I'd like to do - for users that are not logged in.

I tried a like box something like that, could never get it to show...

it works on non dolphin sites..

There are so many great uses for something like this. A quick join form would be very beneficial. In my current case, I need to make an announcement very prominent for a giveaway we're hosting.

I am finding my SEO efforts are finally paying off, daily traffic has tripled from a year ago. When they land on the index page, its usually a quick conversion. Problem is google typically takes them to the content page they searched for and they bounce after that. I need something to grab the attention of these lookers, and a slider box would do just that!

have you added this to the site? if so, try turning off the "member menu" it may be keeping it from showing.
