internal server error 500

Hi, ive just done a clean install of the latest dolphin, but when i goto the install/index.php it shows the 500 error.

I have looked and read through the other posts for help and this is what i have tried so far....

i opened the .htaccess file to look for register_globals on the second line so i could comment it out and found it wasnt there anyway...doubled checked with the find but its not there.

i downloaded the latest php.ini file, my linux server is running php 5.2.6

other info is Linux fhlinux146.fasthosts.net.uk 2.6.18-92.el5PAE #1 SMP Tue Apr 29 13:31:02 EDT 2008 i686

and register globals is off  when i run the phpinfo.php i created.

the latest php.ini file has register globals off so didnt change that and i sent it over to my root installation dir.

still shows the 500 error.

Would love this to work....looks awesome! so if ne one could give me some advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

kosmic

You need the .htaccess file for RewriteRules, etc  .....  there was something there before that didn't agree with dolphin  .....

Upload the root .htaccess file from the zip file and try again  .....
