install

Your install says "Upload the 2 folders, modules and templates and the file profile_info_required.php
to the root of your dolphin site."

'templates' is within 'modules' and if I upload to the root of my site it will overwrite all other modules.

If I put the deano folder in the modules and go to my admin, I don't get an option to install.

If I put the deanos_facebook_connect folder in the modules, i do get an option to install but then get an error: Cannot install module from "deano/deanos_facebook_connect/" directory Failed

The install.txt could be better. I see that I'm the only one who has this issue so maybe it's that I just downloaded Dolphin yesterday and the latest version has some directory structure differences?

nevermind, I figured it out. The upoload goes in modules but not in the boonex folder. Maybe a revise of the install.txt would be a good thing :-)

I do have a support forums for this.

The templates folder in my mods zip file no longer exists but the modules folder does. But you would still upload the modules folder and the file profile_info_required.php to the root of your site as the instructions state.

1) Upload the modules folder to the root of your dolphin site. Via FTP

2) Upload the file profile_info_required.php to the root of your dolphin site. VIA FTP

3) Set permissions to 777 on folder modulesdeanodeanos_facebook_connectbackup (THIS WILL BE ON THE SERVER AFTER THE UPLOAD.)

The fear that my modules folder will overwrite the one that's there is a common misconception. It merges my modules folder with the one that's there. In other words the content of mine is added to the existing not over written. My modules are packed based on the root of the dolphin site.

Just do what it says.

But first, remove al the files you previously uploaded. They are obviously in the wrong location.

The support forum for this product is located here. http://www.boonex.com/unity/extensions/entry/Deanos_Facebook_Connect_Version_2_0

There is also a link to it in the market entry for the product.

It only needs to be revised to correct the fact that the templates folder is no longer there, but if you uploaded the modues folder to root as stated you would not have had a problem.
