indexed blog post and pages all the same

I googled my own site to see how the search engines are listing the site pages. To my surprise the blog post, F.A.Q. among other pages ALL show the snippet of the site description rather than the more appropriate blog post content, same with other pages. Is there anything I can do to change this?

I guess I can now clarify this, ALL blog posts, prifiles, storys, articles and faq's has the "site description" rather than the snippet of writing on the said indexed pages. making this very seo unfriendly. Over and over again it's the website description, how can we fix this? I've seen the same with all other dolphin sites trhat I know of. If someone finds my article on google, all they will see is a snippet of the site description rather than a snippet of the article which may draw them to click on the link, hence bringing in traffic. I think this greatly effects the seo quality of any dolphin site.

There is no way to fix this? I would think others woud be concerned about this. I have found other blog communities that were not dolphin by their members blogs having the proper snippet of info in the search engine search result . Hence, I wouldn't think google is going to index 100's of blogs that have the site description over and over again.

Create a site map, submit it to the search engine (google in this instance) then give it time to recrawl utilizing the site map.

A sitemap won't change the description.

The snippet you speak of is the page meta description. Because Dolphin uses a template for each page it means there is only one meta description.

You'd need a script that checks the page name, pulls the unique description for that page from a database and then drop it in to the meta tags.

I'd be suprised if somebody hadn't written a script for this already.
