include php file not works

Hello how can i include my own php script?

i hav try it in the template an in the admin Menu with _HTML_Block

but my code will not work:

<?php include('file.php'); ?>

is it possible?

Wouldn't it be nice if it were that simple?  Perhaps someone at Boonex can explain why it isn't.
