images are cropping and site looks dead

hi i need help

seems like when i ugraded version, either i not done something (like resizing images ) or overdone something as when i upload any images , all images get cropped and thus site looks like site with broken images.

I have heavily invested and bought modzzz mods.. Issue is all mods from modzzz show images cut and cropped and modzzz blames this on boonex. I can't understand if thats boonex issue then why i am only one who is having issue.

Is that others have no compains or modzzz just don't know how to resolve or I messed up somewhere.

can anyone help me

Please visit my site www.godesi.com

i am ready to pay so to stay or else i am just so tired of trying best at boonex that now i just want to quit.

i am here since 2007 and this will be by 3rd trial to survive on boonex.

please help

thanks

Hi. I've gone to your site but don't understand which images are being cut off.

Can  you provide some screenshots? it might make more sense as to what the issue could be.

Looked at your site. I see a lot of the new evo template 240 x 240 square images (which cuts off images when resizing - including 3rd party modules).

Is this the problem you are having?

The old images added before the change will be the same since they were created before the change to the code; no going backwards in the time stream.

It worked just fine on 7.1.x but of course we just have to fuck things up so they work on a telephone.

that bothered me too and set off my ocd... i just tweaked the provided upgrade script that makes the 2x thumbs to remake the other ones too.

The reason I have not attempted to upgrade to 7.2.x is because there is so much crap added that I will have to tear out before I can upgrade to get the bug fixes and real improvements.  Boonex's approach is wrong.  The main release should have been the bug fixes and additional things like the evo template changes should have been an add-on.  I am going to have to make sure that the new evo template is not controlling the admin; the admin is shit under the new evo template.  What sys-admin is stupid enough to manage a server/site using a telephone?

@geek_girl

web 101: just slap the word 'beta' on it and everyone overlooks the bugs.

all joking aside the mobile usability is very very important! our main project is in an extremely competitive segment but i hear everyday how our members love our product over the multi-million dollar established competitors - mainly because the mobile usability.

around 70% of our member visit the site from their mobile devices, while pretty much all our competitors sites are not/not as mobile friendly.

(last 30 days)

us jumping on the mobile friendly game has shot our site past others that have been around for 10 years plus.

you cant dictate how members are going to use your product. you have to follow current trends and anticipate what they are going to do and how they are going to do it.

also most bugs and weirdness can be knocked out in a few hours when found.

when we embraced the consumers needs over whats easy; our focus quickly shifted form silly development things to suing our competitors for trademark and copyright infringement; because we quickly became the big establish sites peers in less then a year by listening to our members and not dictating.

I tried this suggestion as well.

No effect at all with new photos posted to the timeline.

Still seeing the aggravating 480 x 270 images that are all cropped and cutoff (essentially useless to look at and a waste of space).

somehow in past, i had issue of images cropping and part of images were getting cut, so i used suggestion as suggested in https://github.com/boonex/dolphin.pro/issues/208

now seeing my images are all over.. they all look different sizes. see

question is, is there option to make all thumbs now one size.

I have someone uploading images and they uploaded all different sizes adn now this looks all wereied.

Can we do something so all thumbnails go same size..

I still can't get these images to work (crop) properly either.

It really is frustrating as a proper solution has not been presented anywhere.
