images are all broken throughout site

My host has assured me on MULTIPLE occasions that I have all the necessary requirements for this software to work.

I installed it on my servers last night and it appears functional except that I can't get any of the images to display, including the captcha image for new user registrations.

I did search the directory and solved the captcha image by removing the captcha and security image feature from the new regsistration (which sucks because I would like to be able to use that feature).

Still no images throughout the entire site will display. They all show broken images. I know the server has the right settings and the images are pointing to the correct place. The host says to contact the software provider to get help. I'm hoping someone can help me.

website is http://interconnectd.com

I've tried chaning images such as logo but still nothing displays. It makes no sense. Can someone help me out?

Get this post down now.  You do NOT POST a link to your phpinfo in here, this is an extremely dangerous move to make, as it can contain very sensitive information that hackers love to use.

As for your problem, it isn't anything wrong with your server. It appears as though you are missing the folders in the media directory. Upload them and some of your images will appear.

You will have to re-upload the logo & any PROMO block images after you've put the sub-directories in place.

The sub-directories are "Images", "Sound", and "Video"

There should be a .htaccess file there too.

Good luck - and as you've been warned.....posting php.info is a bit of a no no unless you really want to be messed with by unscrupulous hacker types.  ; )

Okay so I went back and reinstalled the entire media directory as well as it's subdirectories. Still nothing.

Also as an FYI I can't uncheck the use GD Libarary option. Every time I save it is rechecked automatically.

Any other ideas?

Could it be a problem with the .htaccess file?

Options -Indexes
<FilesMatch "^.*\.php|.*\.html|.*\.pl$">
ForceType application/x-httpd-php-source

Whats odd is that the images show up in the admin panel, just not on the live site...

</FilesMatch>

I'm really frustrated and I'm a complete brick wall...

FIXED

It was the Options -Indexes line of the .htaccess file. I had to comment it out on ALL the .htaccess files under the media directory.

Thanks  Stihburns - my classified images were only showing the filename and not the image so applied your fix to media folder htaccess and photos htaccess and they showed!
