htaccess rewrite

Hi all

I have a mod installde that showes the urls like this

http://www.mydomain.com/dogging-ireland.php?action=show_info&event_id=33

is it possible to use the htaccess to display sef urls for this.

for example in the above url shows  event_id=33 at the end of the url.  event_id=33 is = to my dublin catogory

can i make the url look like this

http://www.mydomain.com/dogging-ireland-dublin

there are 32 catogorys so i will need to change all of them to display sef urls.

So any idea guys.
