htaccess not redirecting to new pages

Created a new page like before and edited the .htaccess to make the new page load, and nothing.  It just shows a blank page when you go to the new page.  I cleared out all caches and nothing, used my old htaccess that worked on prior betas and same issue, probably something to do with the security upgrade.

did the process to create new pages get changed, as it stands now the program only displays blank pages when you use the old method of modifying your htaccess
