htaccess broken??

I might've done something stupid.  I deleted all the files on my server before reinstalling everything.  I'm not experienced at programming, but I'm thinking that I deleted my htaccess file too.  My current htaccess file is blank.  Now everytime I install dolphin, the search engine friendly links dont work (I get the 404 error).  How can i fix this?

This is a popular concern. Use the boonex.com search feature at the top right and type "404 error". You will find site fixes.
