how does affiliate works?

am having problems on how does affiliate works for those already members.  In the member profiles, it shows a certain member engaged in #number# of members...how does he do it?

When your members signup through your members referal, the count will be increased.

Firstly you should enable affilates,

Then the referal url is

http://www.your_site.com/idFriend=userId

No. you are not missing anything. By default it is not shown.

i tried using the link to engage members to get members to 6.0.0004, can it be used to 6.1.0?

i also got the same problem. I did all the instruction but the member engaged in #number# of members still does not increase.

first, i have to put '?' to make the url works. it's going to be http://unme.my/?idFriend=1

then I have set enable the affiliate system.
then i turn on the registration by invitation only.
then i turn of the 'Site running for free'

and still not working. By the way, i'm using 6.1.2 version (recently upgrade from 6.1.1).

Can the affiliate program used in dolphin manage affiliates on multiple tiers?  And can it handle multiple percentage payouts for each level?  If not, can I integrate another php script to manage the affiliate program for me on multiple levels without having it interfere with the dolphin platform?

Is this an overly difficult chore where I would need to hire outside help for it?
