hide upload buttons from certain user groups

I am trying to prevent all but a specific user group from adding files, photos, etc. I have disabled these options on the membership levels (I have turned off all options for membership groups but the buttons are still active on the pages).

I would like these buttons gone from all levels but administration group I created. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. I attached a jpg to show exactly what I am talking about.

I have had my members to mention this very thing, that if they can not upload music, then they should not see the upload button.

This requires code changes to all the modules, it is not possible in the default installation.

Wow, this looks very unprofessional and is really necessary for me to remove. Is there any way to hide these buttons even for 1 user group, then I can assign as necessary.

You have to edit code, you have to go in and modify the code to check the member's level to see if they should see the upload button or not.  I agree this probably should have been the way the code was originally written; although the access denied is still needed in case someone entered the upload section through direct URL.
