i'm running the latest dolphin 7.0.3 and when people are uploading videos they are not processing if you go into admin in the videos module the videos stay in the pending tab for ever! i've tried to adjust the cron manager setting but still not processing, if anyone can @ all help me with this issue, i would really appropriate it! |
There could be several reason for this, and there are several posts regarding videos not processing all over the forum. Without know the details of your error, I would suggest first trying the resolutions/tutorials that have already been posted here. Nothing to see here |
i have already tried almost all of the different suggestions on all the post i set up my cron like u posted on another article i've changed the ffmpeg.exe to 777, ive changed the cron video settings in the php admin i dont know what else to do |
What is you current cron command inside the Cron Jobs area of the cPanel? Nothing to see here |
* * * * */usr/local/bin/php-q/var/chroot/home/content/xx/xxxxxxx/html/periodic/cron.php |
Sorry I hit report instead of reply.. My Bad.. If you copied and pasted that from your cron command, you are missing a space after the -q ..It should be like this::
* * * * */usr/local/bin/php-q /var/chroot/home/content/xx/xxxxxxx/html/periodic/cron.php
Also, is this a home or dedicated server? Make sure that the /var/chroot/home/content/xx/xxxxxxx/html/periodic/ is correct. A way to determine this is to edit the header.inc.php file and look for $dir['root'] and see what is listed there. What is listed there should reflect the path to the cron.php

i think i have tried with space and with out, i just changed it to with the space and i got the root for the header.inc.php |
I need to make an edit in that post to this:
* * * * */usr/local/bin/php -q /var/chroot/home/content/xx/xxxxxxx/html/periodic/cron.php
Forgot to add another space BEFORE the -q

the videos are stuck in pending just like b4, now i can embed videos from youtube no problem and upload songs but the video is still not working i don't know what else to try |
The videos do not process immediately.. Im assuming you mean stuck in "processing" and not "pending". Depending on the file size, this may take a few minutes. On average for a 3MB file, it could take 4-6 minutes to process.
If they are "pending" then you will need to set the videos to approved via the admin panel. You can also see if they are already to set auto-approve from there as well.

they are stuck in pending and have been there for days and the only option is gives me is to delete were do i set auto approve if it in the video settings tab the Enable auto-activation for files is checked |
I would have to look into this further is you want to PM your site info. What size are these video files? IF all is set to auto-approve, then there is something else keeping them in pending. Nothing to see here |
I contacted godaddy support today (spent 12 minutes on hold) and ffmpeg.exe is not available on shared hosting accounts. you would need to upgrade to VPS or Dedicated in order to use ffmpeg.
where prolaznik said he is on godaddy grid hosting, that is a VPS environment. if you google ffmpeg+godaddy dolphin is not the only application that has this issue with needing ffmpeg.exe and trying to use it on godaddy.
so before any further time is spent on troubleshooting something that is not going to work, feel free to submit a support ticket to godaddy and ask them why your videos are not converting. they will let you know its because the codec(s) used with ffmpeg are not available on the shared hosting.
