help on new language translation

Hi

I am new here, I need a step by step instruction to translate the system and mod language file as I can't find the manual for dolphin 7.1 all around.  Can anyone help?

And what exactly the "compile" mean?

I try to export the language file several times, I confused that each time I got different version.  What is the master copy of the language file?

Thanks very much!

george

Thanks Turk. But  it is for version 7.0x .

Is it the same as as used for  version 7.1 ?

BTW, I expoert the default language several times, each time I got different copy, I am really confused. Why ?

Thanks,

Translation procedure is the same

What is exported depends on modules installed. It can also change if a module is uninstalled and then reinstalled. This is due to the order the keys appear in the database. It does not matter. The content will be the same just in a different order which when imported will not matter anyway.

Thanks Deano!

1/ So what is any simple way to keep my tanslation up to date, as I will change mods so often?

2/ Does the "Compile" mean put all the language files together?   So I can forget all the language file seperated in every mod's directory?

3/ And when I modify the "Predefined Values", it doesn't appear in the language file. Is it right?

4/ I check the /langs directory, Can I just upload an another language file instead "export" and "import" action?

And last question, how I can translate just the words appear in the front site, and keep the english language in the backend?

Thanks for help.
